Compaq has introduced a new laptop targeted at the budget market. The Presario CQ62Z provides acceptable performance at a low price but performs low in battery tests. The 15.6-inch notebook runs an AMD V120 2.2GHz single core processor that is heavily under powered but performs better than the Intel Atom based netbooks. It is paired with 2GB of RAM and a 250GB hard disk. However, the 1366x768 resolution screen and ATI Radeon HD 4250 based graphics makes it attractive. It bundles Windows 7 Home Premium OS, Wi-Fi b/g/n support and Microsoft Office Starter 2010. The laptop comes with standard 6-cell battery and weighs 4.85lbs. It is available for purchase for a budget price of $379.99.
